Dr. Fox specializes in image-guided, minimally invasive treatments for vein disease, vascular conditions and several other conditions that can be treated without traditional surgery.
Some of his areas of expertise include:
Many of these treatments are performed on an outpatient basis using real-time imaging and a small access point rather than a traditional surgical incision.
An interventional radiologist is a physician who specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Using real-time imaging, an interventional radiologist can guide small instruments through a tiny access point to diagnose or treat a condition.
Depending on the condition and procedure, this approach may offer an alternative to traditional surgery, with smaller incisions and less disruption to the body.
Dr. Fox brings more than 25 years of experience in vascular and interventional medicine, including extensive experience developing outpatient approaches to minimally invasive vascular care.
Your consultation is designed to answer two important questions: What is causing your symptoms, and what are your treatment options?
Dr. Fox reviews your medical history, prior imaging and other relevant records. When appropriate, he may perform an examination or ultrasound to better understand your condition. He then explains what he finds and discusses your options, including nonsurgical approaches or treatments performed by other specialists when they may be a better fit.
The goal is to give you the information you need to make a confident, informed decision about your care. You are not expected to decide on a procedure during your first visit.
