WHO DOES WHAT

Three roles you may meet
before, during and after treatment

Registered vascular technologists

They perform the ultrasounds and imaging your physician reviews to decide whether a minimally invasive procedure will help you and to confirm when it will not.

Physician liaisons

They connect our clinics with primary care doctors, OB/GYNs, urologists and specialists across Texas, so referrals move quickly and your records arrive before your visit does.

Practice operations

Our practice managers and operations leaders handle scheduling, insurance verification and the front office, and they are the people to ask when something about your visit needs sorting out.

where we work

One team across Houston and Dallas

Our team supports outpatient clinics in Houston (Bellaire), Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Clear Lake / Webster, Dallas, Plano and Fort Worth. Ultrasound, consultation, treatment and follow-up all happen in the same clinic, so you are not sent across the city between steps.
Common questions

Questions patients ask about our team

Who will I actually see at my appointment?

Usually three people: a front-office team member who checks you in and confirms your benefits, a registered vascular technologist who performs your ultrasound, and a provider — a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner — who reviews the results with you. If you go on to have a procedure, it is performed by a board-certified interventional radiologist.

What is a registered vascular technologist?

A registered vascular technologist (RVT) is a credentialed sonographer who specializes in imaging veins and arteries. Using ultrasound, they map blood flow in your legs, pelvis or arms so your physician can see exactly where the problem is before deciding on treatment. The exam is painless and there is no radiation involved.

What does a physician liaison do?

Our physician liaisons are the link between Texas Endovascular and the doctors in your community; primary care physicians, OB/GYNs, urologists and specialists. They make sure your referring doctor knows what minimally invasive options exist, and that your records and imaging reach us before your visit. If you are a physician who would like to refer a patient, your liaison is the person to call.

Does anyone on your team speak Spanish?

Yes. Spanish-speaking team members are available at our clinics, including bilingual physician liaisons, and Dr. AJ Valenson sees Spanish-speaking patients directly. Ask for a Spanish-speaking team member when you call or note it on the appointment form. Se Habla Español.

Who do I call about billing, insurance or rescheduling?

Call the clinic where you are seen and our practice operations team will help. They verify insurance benefits before anything is scheduled, explain what your plan requires and handle scheduling changes. Texas Endovascular accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare.

Where can I find all of the doctors, PAs and nurse practitioners?

Our board-certified interventional radiologists and advanced practice providers each have their own profile. Meet our providers to see credentials, the clinics they attend and the conditions they treat.
