With over 16 years of experience and a career defined by service, teaching, and tenacity, Dr. Carlson brings both precision and empathy to every patient interaction.

His path to medicine was anything but conventional. Before becoming a physician, Dr. Carlson worked as a high school science teacher and wildlife biologist. That real-world experience shapes how he shows up for his patients today—with clarity, warmth, and an uncommon ability to explain complex conditions in a way that makes sense.

Dr. Carlson received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California.

He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at UCSF-Fresno, followed by a Diagnostic Radiology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. His fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology took place at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

He later served at the Dallas VA Medical Center, where he spent nearly a decade training physicians from UT Southwestern in interventional radiology procedures.

His blend of hospital and outpatient experience makes him a highly skilled and well-rounded physician.
